Some of the reflections of colour accents in the city are reflected in the unforgiving material of stainless steel, but others are reflected through a biological interface, or even multiple biological interfaces. In the capture below, one piece of graffiti which a human cast up as a mirror of the natural gas valve at the bottom right has been turned into a mirror of the blue rectangle above by a different human attempting to erase it. Note the further mirroring created by the pink rectangle, and the co plea blocking and interplay of the other electrical and gas lines, as they define, block and alter available spaces for biological mirroring. The entire installation is held in place by the press padlock near the centre of the presentation. There’s not a gallery in town with anything this alive. The gallery, by the way, is one block away.
